Curious About Sound Healing?

Maybe you've experienced a sound bath before and loved it.

Maybe you've heard about singing bowls and wondered what Sound Healing actually is.

Or maybe you're simply looking for a different way to slow down, rest and step away from everything demanding your attention.

At Foundations, Sound Healing is a private, one-on-one experience using Tibetan singing bowls placed on and around the body.

You don't need to meditate.

You don't need to know anything about singing bowls.

And you don't need to take yoga classes at Foundations.

You can simply come experience it.

What Is Sound Healing?

Sound Healing uses sound and vibration as part of a complementary wellness practice.

During a private session, Tibetan singing bowls are placed on and around your body, allowing you to experience both their tones and physical vibration.

Research into singing-bowl practices is growing, with promising findings related to stress, anxiety, sleep and well-being.

At Foundations, your experience is personal. Simply rest and experience the sound and vibration for yourself.

Why Are People Exploring Sound Healing?

There's no single reason.

Some people already practice yoga, meditation or other mind-body practices and are interested in exploring sound.

Some have experienced a group sound bath and want something more individualized.

Some are fascinated by singing bowls and vibration.

Others are simply looking for a different way to create intentional time for relaxation and rest.

There's also growing scientific interest in what happens when people experience singing-bowl practices. Studies have explored psychological and physiological responses including stress, anxiety, sleep, changes in heart rate, and measures associated with nervous system regulation.

The findings are encouraging enough to continue studying, but they don't establish Sound Healing as a treatment for a particular health condition.

That's why at Foundations, we don't promise what you're going to feel.

We give you the opportunity to experience it.

What Does Sound Healing Feel Like?

That's difficult to answer because everyone's experience is different.

You may find yourself focusing on the different tones.

You may notice the physical vibration of a bowl placed on your body.

You may feel deeply relaxed.

Your mind may become quieter or it may wander.

You may simply appreciate having an hour where nothing is being asked of you.

There's no right way to experience Sound Healing.

Sound Healing or Reiki?

Different experiences.
Same invitation to slow down.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to meditate?

No. There's nothing you need to know or practice beforehand.

Is there research on Sound Healing and singing bowls?

Yes. Research into singing-bowl practices has increased, and recent systematic reviews have reported promising findings across measures including stress, anxiety, sleep and other psychological and physiological outcomes. However, the evidence is still developing and varies considerably across studies.

Sound Healing at Foundations is offered as a complementary practice, not as a medical or mental-health treatment.

Do I have to be a Foundations yoga practitioner?

No. Sound Healing is a separate private service. You don't need a yoga membership or previous yoga experience.

Do I stay fully clothed?

Yes. You remain fully clothed throughout your private Sound Healing session.

Do the singing bowls actually touch my body?

During private Sound Healing at Foundations, Tibetan singing bowls are placed around the body as part of the session. Bowls may also be placed on the body based on each client’s preference and comfort level.

Is Sound Healing the same as a sound bath?

Not exactly. Sound baths are commonly group experiences, with instruments played throughout a shared space.Private Sound Healing at Foundations is a one-on-one experience shaped around you. Specific sound protocols are selected based on your individual needs or intentions, and the practitioner can adjust the placement, proximity, pacing, and use of the Tibetan singing bowls throughout your session. Bowls are placed around the body and, based on your preference and comfort level, may also be placed directly on the body so you can experience their vibration more closely.
